Is everything a one-off, or can it be made again?
As most of my tiaras are made from vintage pieces, they are one of a kind. However, some of my designs can be made again, to be almost exactly the same as the original; or I might be able to make something very similar. So if you see something you like on this site, but can't see it for sale, please ask and I'll do my very best to help.
How are your tiaras different from others on the market?
Most other tiaras out there are made using pre-cast bands, meaning the tiara effectively clamps on to your head, often causing a bad headache. After eight hours of wearing a tiara like that, you'll be only too pleased to take it off! My tiaras are all handmade from scratch, including the base, making them very comfortable to wear. They also have looped ends for securing the tiara with hairpins.
Do you make bespoke pieces?
I do; prices start at £400.
What are the delivery charges?
In the UK, delivery is free on all orders over £200, for orders under £200 there will be a flat fee of £8.75 for p&p. All items are sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery, and will need to be signed for upon delivery.
USA
For deliveries to the USA, there is a fee of £25 p&p, all items will be sent out via Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed.
EUROPE
For deliveries to Europe, there is a fee of £20 p&p, all items will be be sent out via Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed.
OCEANIA
There is a flat rate of £45 for postage to countries in this region. However as costs for posting to countries in the Oceania region vary greatly, I will contact you to discuss this after your order has been placed.
PLEASE NOTE - SOME COUNTRIES HAVE RESTRICTIONS REGARDING THE IMPORTATION OF JEWELLERY, IN WHICH CASE I WILL HAVE TO REFUSE THE SALE.
IF YOU HAVE ORDERED AN ITEM FROM THIS WEBSITE AND YOU LIVE OUTSIDE OF THE UK, YOU MAY BE CHARGED IMPORT FEES/ CUSTOMS DUTY. THIS IS OUT OF MY CONTROL.
How are orders packaged?
All items are wrapped in acid-free tissue paper, tied with velvet or satin ribbons, and individually packaged in patterned presentation boxes.
For tiaras and headdresses, it is important to store these as they arrive, wrapped in acid-free paper and in the box, to avoid tarnishing.
When will I receive my item?
Once payment has been received, items will be posted within a few days. The buyer will receive an email once the item has been dispatched, with tracking information.
Help! I've received my tiara, but it doesn't fit!
First of all, don't panic! I hear this a lot. My tiaras are all completely handmade, including the base. This means that they don't 'clamp on' to your head as many other tiaras do, and need to be pinned into place along the base and through the looped ends, using hair pins. My advice is to buy some hair pins as close to your hair colour as possible, place the tiara where you want it, and get pinning, through the looped ends and all along the base - once it is in place, it should be very comfortable and you may forget you're wearing it!
